Comment: I taught English in Iowa and St. Louis Park, MN, for nine years. Because teaching jobs were increasingly hard to find, I went to law school at the U of M from 1975-78. I clerked for a judge for a year and worked at a continuing legal education company for a year. In 1980 I went back to teaching, this time at Osseo Senior High School. I retired from OSH in 2005, but I taught there part-time for the 2008-09 school year. I loved teaching.

I belong to three books clubs. I have season tickets to the Guthrie, Pen Pals (an author series), and the Hopkins Center for the Arts. I sing in the Gethsemane Senior Choir and am a member of the Social Ministry Team

I exercise regularly (walking, biking, gardening, yoga) and my health is good. I travel as much as I can afford to. Over the years, I have exchanged houses, cats, and cars with a couple from Stonesfield, England. This last January I spent two weeks in Panama, again staying in homes as opposed to hotels.

My dad, American history teacher Don Holcher, lived to be almost 91. He was sharp until the end.

This year, one of my main projects is helping out with the reunion committee. I hope to see most of you there.

Comment: I have not been to a reunion and have only seen two classmates since '61.  Larry Day in Colorado, a long time ago, and Fred Finch in Florence, Italy about 4 years ago.  Thanks to whomever put this website together and to those organizing the reunion.  I hope to be there

Comment: Hello to all of you.  Life is good and I am very lucky and grateful to have my health and my family.  I have been married for 48 years now and have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren.  Joshua, (27) an ex-marine who served his country in Japan and Iraq and lived to tell about the seige of Fallujah.  Melanie, (17) who will enter the U of M in the fall. Miranda, (14) a freshman in high school and Annie, (12) an 8th grader.  I am so proud of these blessed kids who love their grandmother as much as I love them.  Hope this finds you all well and happy.  See you next year!
