Larry and Pam are in the process of sharing information about updating and maintaining the website. The website is automated but does require human input from time to time. The website is now updated with current information about classmates, our September 2024 gathering and photos of that event. Check it out at Hopkinshigh1961.com
There is another element to keeping our classmates informed and together. That is maintaining a very simple Excel spreadsheet and sending broadcast email messages about our annual reunions. This process is very easy and needs attention only once or twice each year. Sending the broadcast emails takes at most 30 minutes to send them all. Pam also needs a backup for this function. There are very clear written instructions. The Excel spreadsheet is established and the contacts for the emails reside in a file under an email that already exists and can be shared. Please send an email through the ‘Contact Us’ link on the website if you would consider helping as backup with this. Your help will ensure we all continue to be informed about upcoming gatherings and our classmates.

2024 GATHERING
The 30+ classmates and friends that came to The Gold Nugget Tavern and Grille on September 12, 2024, shared memories, laughter and fun. Our class becomes smaller each year as we say goodbye to more classmates. The time we spend together becomes more golden each year. We cherish the time together to share and make new memories.

2023 - OUR 80th BIRTHDAY PARTY
Happened on September 14th at The Wharf at Lord Fletcher's Old Lake Lodge, Lake Minnetonka between Noon and 5:00 PM. We celebrated our common 80th birthdays with a delicious decorated cake.
What a fun time we had! 38 mostly classmates showed up and spent a delightful afternoon eating, drinking and visiting on the deck. It was a beautiful day, perfect for gazing at Lake Minnetonka while talking and sharing memories with old friends. Nice to see so many people checking out this fun event.

The 60th Reunion
of the
Hokins High School
Class of 1961
(Held a year late!)
We had good turnout of classmates and guests for the 60th Reunion of the Class of 1961 on July 8 and 9, 2022 at Lord Fletchers on Lake Minnetonka.
On Friday, July 8, classmates gathered on the Wharf at Lord Fletchers for an informal get-together luncheon and lots of greetings and conversations.
Saturday evening, 64 classmates and guests attended a buffet dinner at Lord Fletchers. Again, the primary activity was conversation and reminiscences about the old days and about our classmates lives and careers during the intervening 61 years.
Don Michel received a special award from the Reunion Committee for his long service in creating and serving as the ongoing webmaster of this web site. Don has relinquished responsibility for running the web site and turned that duty over to Fred Finch.
Pam Douglas Svihel again served as the photographer for the reunion. Her photos of the reunion, including pictues of the classmates who attended and their spouses or guests have been posted in the Photo Album.
What a wonderful afternoon reuniting with everyone. Pictures have been posted in the Photo
Albums section of the website. There will be one more get together next summer and we have already started planning for the 60th reunion.

What a fun time we had! 45 mostly classmates showed up including a couple of first timers....Neal Frank and Gary Ulku. Nice to see more people checking out this fun event.

The next gathering will be September 13, 2018. This is the year when most of us will turn 75 years old - three quarters of a century!!! Its bound to be a really fun event.

Our 55th Reunion!!
The Saturday extravaganza started at 5:00 in Fletcher's Paddle Club with a wonderful buffet, drink and extraordinary entertainment.
