Aamodt, James H. "Jim" 81 yrs. old passed away Thursday with his loving wife of 42 yrs., Marcia, by his side.
Jim was an early Musician's Union Member at 13 years old and played in two bands and even on the Lawrence Welk show twice. Known as "the Drummer" at Hopkins High. In college, he played with the Skeets Trio" to pay all expenses at Macalester and later the U of M where he graduated in Business/Marketing. He then left the music career to be hired by the Ford Motor Company in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1969, he returned to the Twin Cities to create the truck dept. at Shakopee Ford. If you are reading this, I've recently left the physical world, after 82 great years. As I write this, the overwhelming emotion is one of gratitude, for my 58 years with my husband, David, for my children, for my friends, and for my faith.
I was born on January 7th, 1943 in St Louis Park, Minnesota, to wonderful parents. I had one sister and three brothers. My father, Red Anderson, was a former professional athlete, and we were raised with lots of sports and a healthy sense of competition. I was less athletic than my siblings, but did have a knack for hitting a softball very, very far. My mother was the household boss, and raised us all we...
