Married college sweetheart Anne Lorraine Feigal (Pine Island MN) 1969, Boy and Girl and 5 grandkids and 42 years of bliss.

1965 was the year to keep away from Viet Nam and I made that goal. 1972 was the year for McGovern but Nixon won and 3M wanted only loyal republicans. Medtronic was great and I left in 1977 a 4 day work week to go to CO and enjoy the mountains. Self employment was fun and in 1980 I started to tele-commute from my home and still have my office there. In 1973 we found Hawaii and bought a home in Princeville Kauai in 1987. In 1983 we found a new spiritual focus in "The Course in Miracles" and frequent "New Thought" churches. Today we live between Kauai and San Diego. Anne is a holistic nurse and small business owner teaching Healing Touch and seeing clients who need energy balancing. We are blessed with health and apparent longevity.

Comment: I'm retired from a career in the financial services industry, part of that in regulatory compliance over investment products. Not as profitable as selling financial instruments and far less popular with marketing departments, but it was most enlightening.

My son Chad returned to the U.S. (San Jose) in March 2014 after working in Asia for 11 years. He continues to work with eBay on International business issues but at least finally lives on the same continent with only a two-hour time difference. His two children (my grandchildren) live in Minnetonka. UPDATE: Guess he got lonesome for Asia...Chad moved to Seoul, Korea in January, 2019. He took a position with Coupang, a relatively new Korean centric company similar to Amazon. Sounds like a trip to South Korea later this year.

AND AGAIN... when Coupang went public, Chad returned to the U.S. in April 2020. He and wife Utako plus puppy 'Wasabi' live close by in Maple Grove. Chad is now Chief Supply Chain Officer for a pediatric medical firm. Why a CSCO at this difficult time? He always liked a challenge... My fiance, Ron, and I enjoyed traveling both in the U.S. and in other countries taking full advantage of our ‘retirement’ status to take many trips over our 16 years together.Sadly, Ron lost his battle with cancer a year after the 50th reunion. So, my focus now is on his advice to:“Enjoy your trip (through life) and everything about it. ENJOY the moment.”

Taking that sage advice into account, I’ve moved on to working through the rest of my bucket list. There are so many places to see and things to do that checking them all off is quite the challenge, but lots of fun. A little harder to get to those bucket list items while also trying to keep track of that peripatetic son!!!

Comment: Flunked out of college, twice, then joined the Army, Infantry. After 2 years, 3 days, 7 hours, and 23 minutes in Viet Nam (made Sergeant), went back to the U of M. Got degrees in Wildlife Mgmt and Biology Education. Just after the race riots, I taught in Mpls then went to Victoria, Australia, teaching Science and math. Got homesick, stopped in New Zealand to study Blue Ducks, then back to teaching, math, in Mpls. Left teaching, was photographer for Red Wing newspaper, then to college at Rochester Institute, for photography and photoscience. Taught at St. Cloud State, met my future wife, and moved to St. Louis. Last employed as a programmer for Anheuser-Busch. Now have an orchard, chickens, bees, a dog, and a good life.
