Sandy passed peacefully in hospice care on November 26, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, creativity, friends, and family.
Sandy was born on July 25, 1943 in Madison, Wi. She grew up in Hopkins and graduated from Hopkins High School. During the raising of her three children Sandy saw the lack of a college education was limiting her potential. That realization and her focused drive culminated in a MFA degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. The degree opened the door to a 33 year career as an art teacher and mentor for students of all ages.
