Robert Edward Law AUGUST 28, 1943-JUNE 15, 2008. Robert "Bob" Edward Law was born on August 28, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN and passed away on June 15, 2008 in Walnut Creek, CA after an extended illness. His last moments were spent, surrounded by his family and closest friends, peacefully. He will be remembered as an outgoing man who was always there to help a friend with any problem. Bob had a knack for fixing things with good advice and maybe a little duct tape. Bob grew up in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Montana and graduated from Hopkins High School in Minnesota, in 1961. Bob received a Bachelor's Degree in English from Mankato State University in 1967 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco in 1973. He worked for the Contra Costa District Attorney's Office as a Deputy District Attorney for thirty years before retiring in 2004. He loved the law and found his professional calling in prosecution. Bob was widely admired as a prosecutor who was tough and fair. His children, Nick and Angie, were the center of his life. He frequently told stories of their adventures and achievements, shared pictures, and participated in family celebrations. He felt great joy in their successes. Bob was a voracious story teller, an avid golfer, a craftsman, a fisherman, and a barbeque connoisseur. He loved to debate with anyone who was willing to challenge his mind. He had many friends from his years in the DA's office and life in the Bay Area. Bob is survived by his children, Nick and Angie, his mother, Alice Law, his sisters, Sylvia Law, Kathy Hogan (HHS-1966)(Dennis), and Judy Law (HHS-1970)(Gary Nakamoto), and three nieces and two nephews. https://www.facebook.com/groups/52486833520/search/?q=Robert Law
