Merrilee Stennes

Merrilee and I were friends for so many years sharing in many great times in school and church activities.  I remember many meals at her home on 11th avenue.  As the years went by we kept in touch through her moves to Walker and Rochester.  She loved her children very much.  Always such an upbeat person, it was so hard to see MS consume her life and make her so dependent on others for her every need. She would have loved attending the 50th and remembering all the crazy and wonderful things that happened during those years.  I miss you and think of you often.

It so saddens me to learn that Merrilee is gone and that she also died very young.  We used to  kid some about the fact we both had all those e's in our names.  I loved her name, but not my own, until I turned 50 and then decided, well, why not?  But she had such a lovely nature, was loved by all, and our last Homecoming Queen too!  Her beautiful hair and big smile were so nice and inside she was a special person too! Miss you, Merrilee!
